Don't Let Him Die

Wednesday, i have to get back home... well to Cavite. The first bus that happened to have the sign Silang seemed to be screaming STANDING ROOM ONLY. So for forty five minutes in the an hour and a half ride i was *sigh standing.

In the first few minutes in there, i looked at the men sitting comfortable, some even sleeping. then, i looked at the women, anxious to go home but standin along the aisle in their high heels and skirts/slacks.

Soon some passengers went down. I thought, i woul just let the other women sit first. I amn still young, i can manage. But then, after more passengers went off more men (i repeat MEN) hurries to a seat. One even stepped in my toes *ouch!. I said to myself. Don't let Chivalry die.

Well, he is not yet dead. When i was the only person with two x chromosomes standing. A man offered me a seat when a passenger went down. but hmmm. i let him take the seat. It is fun to stand in a moving bus.. hehe.

I recall. i wish there is more of this man or my brother or some of our Choir mates.. i wish there are still more of them who respects and honors women. With that simple act there is still hope for men in this rapidly changing fast paced world. Not all of them will turn into smug selfish idiots.. excuse for the word.

hah.. what am i thinking.. did i make a point in all this

One Weird Morning

I woke up six o' clock... dizzy and vomity. I went straight to bed because if i don't i would most certainly pass out.
We should be presenting our projects in the Design phase. I felt sort of guilty for being so sick and not going to school. After some time, i looked at my mobile phone and saw a message saying that is hould go to school for the 'defense'. The message was from a groupmate. i erased(i think) the message and wemt back to sleep. after a while there's another message in my phone. i tried to read the mesage because m eysight is a bit blurred. my groupmate texted that out instructor scolded them because of being so.... blah! then a message followed saying that they don't want me to be their group mate and found a replacement.
i became very worried. first, my groupmate (who i haven't seen -ever- mad before ) is angry at me and second, not submitting the work will kill my/our grades.
i sent her a message aking for her location and she had peform her part of work. she replied that there was no defense only a lecture. i felt confused so i explained her about me being sick and then i asked if she really sent those messages.
she replied... with smileys and her usual cheeful self: you really are sick. get some rest. She also added that she can't take me out of the group because she can't do the project and even pass without me...

whew! that was a relief!

now, i think that receiving those messages were part of one bizaare dream created by guilt.

Make a Wish

mine is o have my computer back o normal again.. which is next to impossible. or will not happen in an instant... hah! too bad for me. anyway, i just finished reading Eoin Colfer's The Wish List. Yes, I discovered that he has books aside from Artemis Fowl. Just kidding . I just thought that i want to see more of his books and not just focus on young master Fowl (and FOALY!!).

Anyway,it was a fun read (Heaven = Pearlies = Blue trail, Hell = Pit = Red Trail). Hmmm.. i can't write a decent review ye. I had just finished it and had not completely digested the book. But i am happy for stumbling accross this book. Certainly, Colfer has more stories to tell apart that wicked young mastermind and his fairy friends!

i am usually good in writing titles.. but i can't think of any right now... tsk tsk.. i'll leave it blank

I got interested with the book The Curious Incident of the Dog at the Night-time (by Mark Haddon) instantly when i saw it in the bookstore. I recall seeing the book with a dormmate but i never heard of her coommens or reaction. but that was a long time ago... several months...

The novel was about Christopher John Francis Boone, an fifteen(i think) year old who has autism. It ws explained in the first part of the book that Christopher aside from being very intelligent (especially in math and logic), finds it hard to understand human emotions. At first he uses a chart of human emotions a friend and teacher drew for him.
But one murder of a poodle changed his life, turned his world upside down. A neighbor's dog was killed one night, and he was mistaken for the culprit, the og murderer. Because he loves dogs, he started his investigation on who killed Wellington, the dog.
Intertwined with the book some of his ideas, thoughts and a few memories of his mom, dad and school. The detective work (a la Sherlock Holmes, who is in fact his favorite character, Hound of Baskervilles his favorite book) led into a shocking discovery regarding his own family.
His logic is so astonishing and his experience could be fun. It was a very fun novel at the start but when the revelations came, i can't help it but to cry. I felt broken for him and his father. Sometimes i think his father doesn't deserve that ending. but knowing how a Christopher John Francis Boone thinks, he can't really argue with his decisions.
The simplicity of Christopher Boone as a young man searching for answers and his complexity as an individual who only understands math and logic (and science) makes this book a very worthwhile read, and him a very powerful character. The book was very well written- a novel out of an autisic mind. The story and his character creed a compelling mix, with the readers thinking, where would these actions lead him? or how would this story end?
Never have i read a story as honest heartwarming and powerful as this.

Crazy Enough

yah, i am.. i have an exam and i am still here. no worries (yeah right).

i sill can't find enough words or thoughts to be blogging right now. I am still in the state of shock. call me crazy, i don't care! call me anoying, i dont give a *bleep. (ooopsss bad mouth.. baad fingers..)

Okay, so that this entry will have sense, let me tell you wha i did yesterday. what joy!(<-- see the sarcasm here?)


My sister came to visit me after going to PRC for her license (as a Physical Therapist) and we wen to the mall because i have to buy some groceries and she has to buy herself contact lenses. we passed by the new powerbooks stall, where i bough(again) a book by Eoin Colfer: The Wish List. I think that it is about time that i explore his other books apart from the Artemis Fowl series. So.. that would be my second book for this month. The first one was The Curious Incident Of A Dog In The Night Time by Mark Haddon (am gonna write about it). And i noticed that the book's cover is orange and so does The Wish List. hehe what's with ORANGE! =)
We went our separate ways:me- grocery, sis- contact lens. After i did my chores, i went directly to AstroVision to ask if the VCD for Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera is available. and it was not yet released...how sad. =(

Anyway, when I left the shop i had with me-err- us, i met sister there, four VCD's Resident Evil-i had seen the second film,Super Size Me- for my sister, Chicago-somebody didn't return my first copy and Freaky Friday-i love the songs, hehe. And there was this nosey sales lady when i looked at the VCD of the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory which ws the Original Version of the movie Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Though, the real title in the book is really Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She is saying some things that make me feel like i didn't know that the movie showing now is a remake.

So, we came back to the dorm. Sister left for Cavite. I continued my deviation - Red Death, which i moved to scraps-i submited it in DevArt but i am not so saisfied with it.

Then we watched Resident Evil. Gory- i like i. But I think, I like the second movie more. (so in love with Jill).

A Tour You Wouldn't Want To Miss

Nobody has entered or has seen what's inside Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory. The chocolates just come out wrapped and address for people around the world. But that changed one day when Willy Wobnka decided to give out five golden tickets to enter his Factory hidden in a Wonka Bar.

Five lucky children(errr not really) found the Golden tickets: Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde (i love this kid!), Mike Teavee and of course, Charlie Bucket. Together with their parent, they went in to see the magic in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.

Johnny Depp never cease to amaze me in the way he handles every role. As Willy Wonka (the amazinf chocolatier), he filled the movie with cheery movements (love the way he speaks- haha!), though trapped in a very (comically-what?) sad past as shown in flashbacks. (father...daddy...papa.....*sniff). The Oompa Loompas potrayed by Deep Roy (yes, Oompas LoompaS - there are hundreds of them -they'r evrywhere argh!), gaces us every now and then with (surprise) musical numbers making the movie more fun. heehee. The freakin kids also did not fail to annoy me. Augustus' gluttony is unmnerving (he is so ....). Violet's over confidence (but this girl is sooooo pretty) is getting out of hand. Veruca's 'spoiledness'(love her accent) is getting irriting ("i want not just a squirrel, i want a trained squirrel"). Mike' angst is just... angst? (but there are times that this kid looks like he is just acting.) And Charlie, Charlie is such a sweet kid. =)

The whole movie itself is like candy: colorful, fun, surprising and yeah addictive.
The simple punchlines could crack you up and they came in unexpected ("you'll never see me again" - is it like that, i don't know- haha) parts. I just sat there and watched and i didn't realized who time passed by and the movie is going to end. It may not be my type of movie-think of the movies like, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Vanilla Sky- but it is worth the time (and money sigh). Definitely a must see.... so don't forget your golden tickets, grab a seat and enjoy the tour!

Summer's fading

It's raining again. The classes got suspended because of the terrible (for them) weather. But i love the rain. I love walking with the rain on my head and going to the dorm soak with people looking puzzled. Why are you wet? duh!? i don't have the umbrella. and a bigger DUH.. It is raining outside. hehe.

I now had troubles with my dear compuer. I can't open a residential lot or any lot in the SIMS 2 University in my Account. too much downloads. My computer can't handle it. tsktsk. after 10 children, 3 grandchildren, 10 starting chracters i can't play now. waaah.. my downloads are so cool by the way: NotreDame, Paris Opera, Sims Mall. Sailormoon characters, Saiyuki Characters... now, they are all... gone.

One fun thing is.. now I am continnuing my story. My novel about prophecy and all that usual stuff. i have started it a few years ago and now.. yey.. i am continuing to write and hopefully finish them. The whole story is supposed o be a trilogy. hey, i don't know about LOTR when i started this. and i know nothing about Harry Potter. so obviously i am not plagiarizing. yeah!

And here are still lots of oher novels to finish.. my ideas keep on flowing ad my hands and also my mouth can't keep up...

i wish my mind in creating stories is sharper in academics. waaa
